SylvaC is a beloved line of British ornamental earthenware renowned for its whimsical animal figurines, plant pots, and pastel glazes. Produced primarily between the 1920s and 1970s by Shaw & Copestake, it remains highly collectible today for its cheerful, nostalgic charm. The company was founded in 1894 as Shaw & Copestake in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, by William Shaw and William Copestake. Copestake left shortly after, and Richard Hull joined in 1895. The name "SylvaC" is derived from a blend of Sylvan Works (the factory name) and Copestake.
