Royal Doulton series ware plate of Historic England from around 1939. This plate depicts a lady standing in the grounds of Haddon Hall which is in Derbyshire. This stately home is famous for having a grand Tudor hall and Elizabethan gardens.
Plate is marked with number D5940 and Reg in Australia.
The Historic England series was introduced in 1938 and withdrawn around 1952. This particular plate carries two backstamps, the green one with the letter A denotes that this particular plate was produced between 1939 and 1955.
