"El Modelito" or "Pretty Pose" Hand Modelled Porcelain Figure by Nao

Offered for sale is a elegant figurine made by Lladro and issued by Nao of a young lady entitled "El Modelito" or "Pretty Pose". Wearing a long flowing sleeveless white dress trimmed in blue, she is holding the skirt out at the sides as she poses, perhaps to have her picture taken. It was designed and sculpted by Francisco Catalá and comes complete with the original box. As with all porcelain from Nao or their parent company Lladro, the attention to detail in this piece is superb and the use of a limited pastel colour palette gives it that signature look . Nao borrowed its name from the old sailing boats from the time of Columbus, and symbolised a return journey to origins, conveying creativity, skill and magic. This encapsulated the dream of the Lladró brothers to make porcelain figurines affordable for lovers of beauty.
