Edwardian Colman's Mustard Shop Counter Display Tin

Offered for sale is a splendid, large Colman’s Mustard, shop counter display tin, probably Edwardian. The exterior is sarcophagus shaped and elaborately decorated with embossed figures in a classical style playing lutes, lyres, pan pipes etc. The underside of the lid bears the Colman ‘Bull’s Head’ trademark logo with the words ‘By Appointment to Hm the King’. and a purple sticker bearing the legend Colman's Fine Mustard, Warranted Pure. The base colour is iridescent green with gold and red highlights. The tin is in antique condition please see condition report below.
