A charming and less well known Beswick mouse figurine, "Lady Mouse" in a big mop cap, who appeared in the Beatrix Potter story book The Tailor of Gloucester, in which Lady Mouse was imprisoned under the teacup by Simpkin, first published in 1903. Lady Mouse was issued in 1950 and was modelled by Arthur Gredington. The backstamp would indicate that this figure was produced between 1960 and 1979.
