Sherratt & Simpson Recumbent Cat Figure

Offered for sale is a lovely figure of a recumbent cat by Sherratt & Simpson. Presented on a polished wooden base, he is lying back , probably in a sun spot, luxuriating and cleaning his paws. Sherratt and Simpson was formed in 1985 by a partnership between Geoff Sherratt and Michael Simpson in Biddulph, Staffordshire. They were renowned for producing stunningly life like figures, of animals in particular. Sadly in 2001 it was announced that the factory would close. Their figures remain highly collectable.
