Pair of Bone China Chambersticks by Hammersley & Co

Offered for sale is a lovely pair of bone china chambersticks by Hammersley & Co. The Asiatic Pheasant pattern on these chambersticks are a stunning example of their work. The Asiatic Pheasant motif features an exotic multi-color pheasant with outstretched wings among flowering tree branches. Large blossoms in royal blues, deep pinks, and golden yellows replicate the magnificent colors of the bird. Garlands of matching blossoms adorn the candle holder. The scalloped dish, top rim, and handle are edged with gilding. The back stamp is a green crown with the words “Hammersley & Co.” arched above it. “Bone China Made in England” is stamped beneath and it was used by Hammersley circa 1939.
