Offered for sale is a Mini Toby Jug by Tony Wood. Tony was potting in various locations around Stoke on Trent between 1980-1991. Wilf Blandford was the main modeler at this company.
Tony's Grandfather was Henry of Hj Wood (formerly Wood & Son est 1895 in Burslem).
This model is named Philpot Mini and is a nod to the late 18th Century Ralph Wood Toby jug.
He is wearing a burgundy coloured coat with black cuffs and yellow stockings. In one hand is a foaming flagon of ale and his pipe is in the Other.
