Offered for sale is a charming lidded silicon china jug by Booth's decorated in the Ming Pattern. A classic Chinese-influenced blue & white pattern dating from around 1916 and in production until around 1929. It features images of people in a garden scene observing a caged bird whilst a boat sails by. it is bordered in a deep blue and white floral motif. It has the backstamp printed in blue on the base of a crown with Booths, silicon china, Ming, and England. The fact that it is stamped "England" rather than "Made in England" dates it after 1891 but before 1921.
There is some rubbing to the blue on the handle, otherwise it is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or signs of restoration
