Offered for sale is a 19th Century earthenware cheese dish. it was produced by S.Fielding & Co. Fielding's were manufacturers of earthenware and majolica at the Railway Pottery Stoke and was renamed Devon Pottery in 1912. Decorated in the "Elm" pattern it is richly decorated with a floral theme in hues that are indeed reminiscent of Crown Devon . Whilst it is crazed that won't matter when it's crammed with stilton on your Christmas dinner table! After all it is over 100 years old an has obviously been used and loved.
